Hello and happy Friday! This is the first Friday of October, and my last Friday (well, technically) at home because I’m moving next week! Yes you read that correctly. Jake and I are FINALLY moving into our apartment next weekend! Needless to say this week has been a little crazy getting everything together, and I imagine this weekend and my evenings after work this coming week will be nothing but packing and organizing, but I’m so excited! With this week being a little crazy, this week’s Friday Finds will be rather minimal, but here’s a few favorites to share from this week!
- The Republic of Tea – Pumpkin Spice flavor
BASIC ALERT! As someone who recently learned that coffee consumption results in a near six hour panic attack, I cannot join the rest of my infinity scarf wearing basic brethren and drink the beloved Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I can however drink black teas (as long as it is balanced out with some coconut milk), and thanks to The Republic of Tea, I too can get my pumpkin spice on! This tea is absolutely delicious, and what I love most about it is that the pumpkin spice flavor is not overpowering, but rather a complimentary note to the black tea. The caffeine level of this tea is pretty strong, so if you’re like me and can’t handle a lot of caffiene, I’d recommend brewing a weak brew, and adding a splash of milk, cream, or whatever floats your boat!
- Taking the stairs
I realize that this is a weird favorite, but I’ve been taking the stairs at work every day for the past couple of months and I think it’s really been paying off in terms of strengthening my endurance! Granted, I work on the sixth floor, so by the time I get to the top I’m a little winded and have to take a moment to catch my breath, but it seems to get a little easier every week! Given that I’m sitting in a chair eight hours a day I’d like to think getting my legs moving before and after work (I take the stairs down too), helps a bit! Now all I need is a treadmill desk…
- Ryan Adams – 1989
I have been living for Ryan Adams since I first “La Cienega Just Smiled” during the Felicity finale in the 8th grade (#shouldhavepickedNoel). I have also been living for the music of Taylor Swift since the Fall of last year. That being said, once I caught wind that Ryan Adams was releasing an entire album covering Taylor Swift’s 1989, my life went from zero to one hundred. So far my favorites have been “Style” and “Bad Blood”, but everything else is golden as well. Please cover all of the songs, Ryan.
That wraps it up for me today! This weekend I’m hopefully going to go see The Martian, log some runs, and then tomorrow night Jake and I are going to go see Brand New in concert! I hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll catch you back here on Monday!
