Hello, and happy Friday! It has been a MINUTE since I have posted a Friday Finds on this blog. Like…months. I can’t say that I’ll make it a regular occurrence (I swear the second I post a goal on this blog I end up completely forgetting about it), but I have happened upon a few cool things over the past couple of weeks and thought it would be fun to share it on the blog! If you’re new to the Friday Finds posts, it’s essentially just a small list of favorites that don’t really fall into any particular category or genre. It’s a mess, just like myself and this blog!
Hot Ones (YouTube talk show)
I happened upon this show awhile ago, forgot about it, rediscovered it a couple weeks ago, and have been binge watching it incessantly since. The premise, host Sean Evans from First We Feast, interviews celebrities whilst eating hot wings that get progressively hotter with each wing. Sean is a great interviewer, books great guests, and the wings look amazing. However, the best part is watching the guests have full-blown emotional meltdowns as they attempt to eat disgustingly spicy wings. I’ve linked my favorite episode with Nick Kroll above if you want to check it out!
As the seasons change, and my office becomes a breeding ground for cold and flu season, I thought I’d be one step ahead this year and up my vitamin C and zinc intake, as well as seeking out immune boosting foods and teas! I happened upon Teami Profit tea about a month ago while researching immune boosting teas, and have been loving it. The obsession then spiraled into their Teami Skinny and Colon teas, and so far I have nothing but positive things to say! The taste is mild, but I like to add lemon to mine for extra flavor and vitamin C! Also, I signed up for their loyalty program, so you are more than welcome to use my coupon code of MCE823 to get 10% off your order!
Casually Meeting David Tennant
As part of an early birthday present to Jake, last weekend I purchased a ticket for us to meet David Tennant at Dallas Fan Days (similar to Comi-Con)! The photo took all of five seconds, but I can confirm that he is super polite, and seems like a beautiful and delightful treasure on Earth. After our photo we perused the merch stations and picked up a few Funko Pops (Hermione Granger and Rory Gilmore for me, and video game characters for Jake). I was too scared to take pics of people’s costumes (that seems weird to me?), but we saw so many super cool and detailed cosplays!
Speaking of conventions, the Harry Potter convention, Leaky Con is coming to Dallas next year and I think Jake and I might go! I’ll definitely be finished with the series by then, so I won’t feel like too much a fraud if I go. I’ve read that they have celebrity appearances, so maybe David Tennant could show up again?! If so, please have all of my money, Leaky Con.
Who is the most famous person you have met?
