Happy Friday! Guess who made it back to yoga twice this week for the second week in a row? If you’re answer was Alec Baldwin’s wife, then you are probably right, but it was also me! I hit the gym Monday and Tuesday, took a yoga-Barre class Wednesday, and then my super favorite hot yoga class last night! It helps that my best friend, Natalie, comes with me, that way we can hold each other accountable and encourage each other to go. It also helps because then I have someone to laugh with during the cardio portion of Barre whenever I am certain that death is imminent and I’m not going to make it. Since Barre didn’t claim my life this week, how about we round up some favorites from this week and discuss? There’s wine involved so keep reading!
- Tony Moly Sheet Mask
Remember how on Monday when I mentioned that Natalie went on a Korean beauty shopping spree and introduced me to Tony Moly? My spree cost me $3 because these masks are so inexpensive, but spoiler alert they are also AMAZING! I’ve used all three in the photo above, and after each use my face is super soft and luminous like I walked right out of drugstore cosmetic brand commercial! The wine one smelt like wine, the lemon one smelt like lemon, and the shnozberries taste like shnozberries! I’m getting ahead of myself here, but the masks are amazing, and the store was super cute. Also, bonus find, you can buy these masks on Amazon in a pack of eleven for super cheap!
- Pinot Noir
Good on you for sticking around till I mentioned booze. I actually haven’t tried this wine yet because I am saving it for the season two premiere of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt next week, but I already know that I love it! Tituss Burgess from TUKS debuted his own brand of pinot noir to celebrate the musical triumph that was “Peeno Noir” from season one. I ordered it last month and have been antsy to try it, but the season two premiere is next weekend so I don’t have to wait much longer!
- Documentary Now!
If there is anything I love more than documentaries, and Bill Hader and Fred Armisen, it’s Bill Hader and Fred Armisen making fun of documentaries. Documentary Now! is a seven episode mocumentary of sorts, that pokes fun at famous and notable documentaries from years past, such as Grey Gardens and The Thin Blue Line. The entire first season is on Netflix, and Jake and I burned through it all last Sunday. The Thin Blue Line-esque episode was so funny that we ended up watching the actual documentary a few days later. I mean, the actual documentary isn’t funny, but they did such an amazing job that we had to see what inspired the episode!
Another successful Friday Finds if I do say so myself. Skin care, wine, and TV? That’s quite possibly all I need in life. As for this weekend, I’ve got a long run to knock out tomorrow (my next half marathon is next Saturday!), errands, and a whole lotta laziness. I hope you all have a great weekend! Feel free to share any of your own “finds” from this week in the comments!
