Another week, another race recap to share. This time though fake mustaches, and the early stages of a heat stroke were involved, so it’s a little bit more interesting than past races. This was third year for my dad and I to run the Must Dash 5k Father’s Day themed race in Richardson, and it’s a lot of fun to see everyone participate in the mustache theme! As part of the race packet we were all given one fake mustache (I attached mine to my headband…which almost immediately fell off), and there were several runners dressed in mustache adorned socks, shirts, and even a few with genuine facial hair!
After the race, runners were treated to ice cold paper towels to cool off, water, Gatorade, and for the less dehydrated, beer! There were several vendors out offering free snack and drink samples, and even a live music stage! We stuck around long enough for one cover of “Free Fallin” before we decided it was time to head the
I guess Summer racing season is officially upon us! The good news is that it is an easy way to get a tan, the bad news is…well, literally everything else. Running in the heat suuuuucks.
