For a really goal oriented person you think I would be better about writing these posts once a month, but it is me we’re talking about after all, so who’s really surprised? Well consider it an unofficial goal to be more proactive about sharing my goals. My goal is to talk about goals. Wow, how both boring and confusing. If you’re still on board though, let me share a few I have in mind for this month!
- Financial Goal$
I pride myself on being a saver, but I really want to be better about it and save as much as I can so maybe (hopefully) I can purchase a new car sometime next year! I have a dollar goal in mind (whatever a limo plus a personal driver costs), but like any other goal, I’m going the “baby steps” route to get there just so I don’t overwhelm myself or feel like I’m failing myself if I don’t get it exactly where I’d like within a desired time frame. My “small” financial goal for this month is cut out online purchases. I’ve been cutting back over the past few months, but this month I’m going cold turkey. Online shopping makes everything so much easier, and because of that, I end up spending more money than I need to. I get on Amazon to order my face wash rather than just hit up Target. What makes this even more sad is that Target is literally across the street from me. Maybe this goal will also help curb my outrageous laziness. So far the only thing that has been purchased online this month is a race registration for a 10k, but in my defense that’s the only place I can sign up! In the meantime though I should probably figure out a way to block Sephora and Amazon from my own computer…
- Have a “perfect week” according to my Apple Watch
My Apple watch awards me “badges” for completing various workout related achievements (because I need the validation tbh), but I have yet to receive the “Perfect Week” badge which is awarded for meeting your calorie goal every day of the week. I didn’t have the same discipline when it came to Girl Scout badges, but dangit y’all I’m gonna get it.
- Actually recap my goals the following month
In the few times I’ve done a goal or “bucket list” post, I’ve never recapped it the following month. What is the point of posting my goals if I’m not going to hold myself accountable the following month? Also, as a blogger, what was the point of the post in the first place? I’m the worst. Well I promise I’ll actually follow up this post next month to let you all know if I achieved my goals or not. If I don’t I’m giving you permission to troll my comments section. I get enough of that with what feels like the 4,000 spam comments I have filter out each week, but that’s another complaint for another day. So come back in June (well, actually come back everyday #views #drakepunintended), and I’ll let you know how it goes!
Alright folks the challenge is on. What goals do you have for yourself this month? Feel free to share in the comments! Good luck!
