In the midst of scrounging up blog post ideas yesterday I realized I haven’t done a monthly bucket list post since like…August! I’d like to think of myself as pretty goal oriented person, so I don’t know what the heck happened to me between August and this month, but I promise I haven’t just been sitting around complacent with life. That being said, now that October is winding down, I thought it would be a great time to round up some goals and introduce some bucket list ideas for the month of November! Let’s see what I can get accomplished next month…
- Stretch every night before bed
If there is one thing that vastly improves my quality of sleep each night, it’s stretching. You would think knowing this I would be stretching every night, but fun fact, I’m lazy and I don’t do it. Since moving in to the apartment this month I have had the worst time staying asleep through the night and it has become ultra frustrating. Adding a fresh new mattress pad helped, but the few times I’ve set aside to time (10-15 minutes max) to do a little light stretching before I call it a night has been the biggest help. I’m making November the “Best Sleep of My Life” month so here’s to hoping I get those stretches in! If any of you would like to participate, here are some awesome nighttime yoga routine sequences you can try! (Try this, or this!)
- Make a Thanksgiving dish
Despite having a love for cooking, and being obsessed with all things Fall, I have yet to contribute a dish to my family’s Thanksgiving. Granted, my family has been going out to eat for the past couple Thanksgivings (we collectively decided that the amount of dishes at the end wasn’t worth it), but we normally reconvene at my Aunt’s house for some T-Day desserts. This year I’d like to contribute my own dish to the mix, and hopefully create something healthy, fun, and most importantly, edible!
- Log a 10 mile run
It’s been a minute (and by minute I mean months, since like April) that I’ve logged a 10 mile run! The closest I got was a little over nine miles last month, but now that the weather is absolutely killing it right now, I think November may be the month I can hit double digits again! My next half marathon isn’t till next March, but I have kind of been toying with the idea of doing a half this December. No promises, but I do definitely at least want to get back into my log runs and hit 10 miles this fall!
That’s a wrap for my November goals! They seem pretty doable, right? Let me know what some of your goals are in the comments!
